My name's Patrick and I'm a dog fanatic. I have been around them all of my life and I love them dearly. From the tiny ones that pack a lot of attitude, to the friendly giants who are prone to being misunderstood. Dogs are magic.

Over the past year I have been connecting with dog owners all over the City of Stonnington and the City of Bayside. This has been part of a significant change in my working life and part of a bigger picture.

Towards the end of 2020, I found myself incredibly broken and in the grips of alcohol addiction. After completing 3-months of residential drug & alcohol rehabilitation, I moved from Hawthorn to Windsor to start a new phase of my life. As I began the slow and at times rocky road to recovery, I realised that my priorities had shifted. I needed work to hold a different place in my life. Something that gave me greater pleasure and fulfilment but didn’t leave me awake at 3am obsessing, ruminating and worrying.

Enter the dogs.

I started this new phase by working at a doggy daycare. This was such a valuable experience where I learnt about dog handling, training and understanding the many different ages, sizes and breeds. Sometimes, it would be just me and 30 dogs in the yard at once!

This experience taught me about the uniqueness of different dogs and it is something that I am mindful of in the different services I offer. It has been, and continues to be such a great privilege to take care of so many beautiful dogs.
